1. INTRODUCTION
Welcome to MELA Transport. By booking a tour or purchasing any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making any bookings.
2. BOOKING & PAYMENT
Booking Process:
A booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation email or booking receipt from MELA Transport.
Payment:
A non-refundable deposit or booking fee is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid within 3 days after the balance amount has been calculated and invoiced. Failure to pay the balance may result in cancellation of your booking.
Methods of Payment:
We accept payments via Credit/Debit Cards and Bank Transfer.
3. CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation by the Client:
If you need to cancel your booking, please proceed to the members menu and select "My Bookings". If your booking is still within the cancellation period, then you should be able to see a cancellation option for the particular session. Otherwise, please contact us immediately for assistance with your cancellation request.
Cancellation fees will apply as follows:
14 days or more before the tour: 50% of the total cost.
10 days before the tour: 75% of the total cost.
Less than 7 days: No refund.
Cancellation by the Agency:
We reserve the right to cancel a tour for any reason, including insufficient participants or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, a full refund will be provided, or you may choose to transfer to another tour.
4. CHANGES & MODIFICATIONS
By the Client:
Any request to change your booking must be made in writing. We will try to accommodate your request, but changes may be subject to additional fees and availability.
By the Agency:
We reserve the right to make changes to the tour itinerary due to weather, safety concerns, or other factors beyond our control. Any significant changes will be communicated to you as soon as possible.
5. TRAVEL INSURANCE
Mandatory Insurance:
All clients are required to have travel insurance covering personal injury, medical expenses, and trip cancellation. MELA Transport is not responsible for any costs incurred due to insufficient or lack of insurance.
6. HEALTH & FITNESS
Medical Conditions:
You must inform us of any pre-existing medical conditions or dietary requirements at the time of booking. We will do our best to accommodate, but we cannot guarantee all requests.
Fitness Level:
Some tours may require a certain level of physical fitness. It is your responsibility to ensure you are physically capable of participating in the tour.
7. LIABILITY
Agency Liability:
MELA Transport is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to persons or property, delays, or additional expenses incurred due to weather, acts of God, civil unrest, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Third-Party Services:
We are not responsible for the actions of third-party service providers, including transportation companies, hotels, and tour operators.
8. BEHAVIOR & CONDUCT
Code of Conduct:
You are expected to behave respectfully towards fellow travelers, guides, and locals. Disruptive or abusive behavior may result in your removal from the tour without refund.
Compliance with Laws:
You must comply with all local laws and regulations during the tour.
9. PRIVACY POLICY
Data Collection:
We collect and use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By booking a tour, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in our policy.
10. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia/Victoria, and any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Australia/Victoria.
11. AMENDMENTS
Changes to Terms:
MELA Transport reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you and will apply to bookings made after the date of amendment.
